Medical certificate no longer required

Medical certificate replaced by Parcours Prévention Santé (PPS)

As part of the “Sport” law of March 2, 2022, which aims to democratize the practice of sport in France, the French Athletics Federation has set up its Parcours Prévention Santé (PPS), a system that replaces the traditional medical certificate of fitness for all adults (aged 18 or over on the day of the event).

So, from April 1, 2024, adult participants registered for the Chablis Marathon will be able to provide us with their PPS attestation instead of the medical certificate.

The PPS is an online video course lasting around 3 minutes, designed to make athletes more aware of the health risks associated with trail running. At the end of the course, you’ll be given an attestation code and a certificate with a QR code. This code (or certificate) must be entered on the registration platform.

Please note that this PPS is only valid for 3 months, so it must be completed no earlier than July 26, 2024 to be valid until October 26, 2024.

The PPS can be filled in at any time (between D-3 months and D-1 week) on the registration platform and in your personal space.

The other supporting documents (FFA licenses and medical certificate) are still valid for this year. However, licenses previously accepted in the 2023-2024 regulations (FCD, FFS, FFH, FSPN, ASPTT, FSCF, FSGT, UFOLEP), are no longer accepted.
